                    Animals Really??
Why I asked just why, this is really making me feel bad this need to change. Animals being used for food and being killed and slaughtered, held hostage and sold for cheap at this pace is very disturbing. These actions are affecting the Water use, environment, waste disposals and the slaughterhouse workers. However, as I furthered study on animal cruelty, I discovered another alternative we can stand upon. One is giving these slaughterhouse workers another opportunity on a job.  And, instead of killing the animals we should take the animal cells from them just so they don’t have to die.
As I watched a documentary called Dominion in my English 1101 class as a project, I was so in shocked. The main point made in Dominion documentary is how slaughterhouse workers abuse and neglect animals, due to their own personal satisfaction and personal belief.  This was made true by the air camera drone that was navigating through the slaughterhouse throughout the film. Also, as I read a story from this book called “Food Matters” outside of the film called worst crimes in history. Doctoral worker and award-winning writer Harari, Noah just like the film dominion is showed Harari states that “Animals are the main victims of history, and the treatment of domesticated animals in industrial farms is perhaps the worst crime in history.” (233). He also concluded that “Tragically, the agricultural revolution gave humans the power to ensure the survival and reproduction of domesticated animals while ignoring their subjective needs.” (237). This evidence shows that animals are being wrongly used for food and human satisfaction.
Seeing these animals getting miserably treated in the worst way possible, took a tool on me. Imagine yourself at a young age have a mother and father, and they are taken away from you right when you are born. They are being slaughtered in the worse way possible being killed by air rifle guns and a chute. Sometimes these animals will yell and holler and try so hard to get away from this situation, however there is nothing they can do. They will overmilk the cows drug the chickens and turkeys so they can produce more eggs and grow faster just so people can eat. These slaughterhouse workers treat them so bad and they do it like it comes natural to them.

However, we can't blame these slaughterhouse workers for the job they are doing. Most of them are either immigrants from other countries who can't find jobs in the states, or just people who are not qualified for basic jobs. So, I know them having a job of this sort takes a big tool on their personal life. All that anger boiled inside them they take it all on the animals when they act up and don’t do right. It's not fair to them they should get an opportunity in this world just like everyone else does. A job like killing animals all day beating them up, putting them into a chute or just letting these animals suffer and killing them is very cruel.

As everyone should know animals like cows, goats and pigs are very big animals, which means they require a lot of water to drink. They tend to use so much water and, a lot of land space just to keep these animals alive while they need them. It takes approximately 2,400 gallons of water to produce on pound of beef. Which is a lot considering the fact of how many people struggle to get water to drink daily. Which means they kill these animals or when the animal uses the restroom, they have a lot of waste.
These animals being held hostage and the land that they live is so small that they can't even have space when they are together. For example, the chicken hens and boilers have it worse when it comes to living with no space. It will get so bad to the point where their bones get weak from standing in one place for so long. Sometimes it even gets so bad to the point where they die because of, no hydration and no breathing room. All they do with the body is pile it up and the animals waste in area and never clean it out, and let it overflow. Then the waste gets piled up into one area and starts stinking and being to much, which is bad for environment.
Fresh meat
"Fresh meat" by kattebelletje is licensed under CC BY-NC 2.0Just imagine how many animals gets killed daily, just so we can have meat on our plate. Philosopher and most influential writer Singer, Peter stated that “The case against using animals for food is at its strongest when animals are made to lead miserable lives. So, that their flesh can be made available to humans at the lowest cost” (213). Companies like Mcdonalds and Burger King sell chicken sandwiches and chicken nuggets for a dollar a piece. They even sell them by pounds or thickness from supermarkets like Publix and even Walmart where people shop a lot at. Why do they sell them for so cheap I ask myself almost every day knowing the answer is right in my face. They kill so much of them every day what better way to sell them faster than to sell them for cheap. Which is a good idea I guess for the restaurant owners, entrepreneur's, and stores you make business and profits so good for them. What about the animals your killing and the environment your destroying ever thought about, instead all they care about is being full and getting paid.
One solution I soared upon as I did some great research was, instead of killing these animals they should take cells from the animals and use it for meat. As I say they I was pertaining to the slaughterhouse workers who abuse them every day. Now doing these things called taking cells make those meat producers and consumers complain. They are saying that the meat would not taste the same, it's not going good as before. Even the businesses of the world would get made because they think their company and industry, they work and own won't be the same anymore. All these thought and problems just makes me shake my head because it's all false news. Taking a cell from an animal doesn’t make the animal taste any different then you are slaughtering it and eating it. Prestigious award winning and senior environment editor from discovery magazines Kunzing, Robert stated that “Instead of raising pigs on factory and farms and killing them in slaughterhouses, Van der Weele explained in an email pigs can act as living cell banks, while also keeping us in touch with animals, as well as the sources of our food”.(307)
Now the real question is how cells exist and how do you even take it from animals.  The cells are made through a bioreactor, which is a device or vessel in which a chemical reaction or biological process is carried out. The cells come from when technician's poke the animal with a biopsy needle. As the cell make its way through the lab it is put into a machine for testing and taking data. Then they would pass through a chain of progressively large flasks, until the cells had multiplied enough to fill the largest currently available bioreactor. An enzyme would then be added to make the cell go together as one from top to bottom. However, an enzyme a substance produced by a living organism which acts as a catalyst to bring about a specific biochemical reaction. Then finally the cell would be pressed into a cake, put through a big grinder which will make them into any size patty it needs. I feel like these is the best way to go about using the animals for food instead of killing.
Overall promoting cells as a new wave in how people treat animals in the world today. The environment and water use will not be affected by doing so, as well as the waste disposal. Slaughterhouse would have better opportunity in this world instead of killing these all innocent animals and find a new hobby and a job they feel very passionate about.  That’s what it's all about making the world a better place for everybody even the animals cause, they are humans too.
